Florida - St. Augustine

Yesterday we entered sunny Florida. The temperature lept up by some degrees. The air temperature. Not ours.

We are staying for two nights in Saint Augustine. A historic town and a beautiful location. On two long islands along the coast are sandy beaches in the environment of expensive residences and houses. Nevertheless, it's easy to find some more secluded space. We are begining our spring vacations. So What!? We deserve some relaxation after hours spent in the car eating up miles crossing the USA.

Working on the blog "after hours" sometimes is tiring as well... .

'St. Augustine is a city in the northeast section of Florida and the county seat of St. Johns County, Florida, United States. Founded in 1565 by Spanish explorer and admiral Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, it is the oldest continuously occupied European-established city and port in the continental United States.According to the 2010 census, the city population was 12,975. The vicinity of St. Augustine was first explored in 1513 by Spanish explorer and governor of Puerto Rico, Juan Ponce de León, who claimed the region for the Spanish crown.'
