Not only Almodóvar
Last week saw the world premiere of the Spanish film that won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2026.
It won't hit Polish cinemas until February 2027, and might not appear on streaming platforms until December of this year.
"Black Ball" (original title: "La Bola Negra").

Directed and written by Javier Calvo and Javier Amrossi*.
We couldn't miss the chance to see this film NOW!
And despite the original dialogue—often featuring local dialects—we didn't lose the thread of the story or miss its important messages!
Although rooted in Spanish history and contemporary life, this historical drama resonates powerfully with everyone!
We highly recommend this film; it leaves no one indifferent!
"Spanning three time periods—from Republican Spain in the 1930s and the Civil War era of 1937 to modern-day Spain in 2017—the story intertwines the lives of three characters, offering a reflection on love, identity, and memory."
Javier Calvo and Javier Amrossi—known as "Los Javis"—are a popular Spanish filmmaking duo, working as directors, screenwriters, and producers.
