Chiang Mai - Thd Gardens

Chiang Mai - New Town - was once known as the Rose of the North of Thailand. It also was the capital of Siam for fifty years.

Within the walls of the city is located about 300 temples and a few dozen in the area beyond them. Do not be afraid! We have not seen them all! We visited a number of important and pretty ones only! Although everything took place in an atmosphere of Buddhist peace, we eventually were falling from fatigue.

We took a break outside the city in the hot springs Sankampaeng and Park Royal Phuphing. (You too, try to say these names, will you?)

Millions of species of orchids growing in the fresh air and pavilions are impressive.
