Chiang Mai by night

Well, eventually, we had an adventure! More than 3 hours of driving down from Pai to Chiang Mai with a crazy driver. Not only was he driving like a maniac (12 people on board and a lot of luggage on the roof), but he refused  to turn off the air recirculation, which resulted in the cruel stifling of the air. The A/C couldn’t make it.

Adek intervened vigorously, not without minor invectives, and the driver didn’t respond! A call to the agency where we had bought the tickets give little help.

In the end, the driver rolled the windows down and it  was blowing cruelly, but we could breathe, at least.

The driver of a minibus is a master!

In the evening we marched around the huge night bazaar which is perhaps the biggest in this part of Asia.

Here you can buy, eat, drink, watch performances on several stages, and generally do what you want.

But respectfully, first we went to watch the illuminated temples. As  decent tourists do.
