Flight - Kuala Lumpur, surprise no. 2 and no.3
We left Phuket Patong Beach early afternoon in full sunshine and we arrived at the airport in rain but before the check-in was completed a monsoon rainfall was at its best.
Time for the ugly surprise no.2: Security control reveiled in our backpack a prohibited on board weapon - a pocket knife. It was a Swiss made multifunctional pocket knife which Adek was given as a 30th birthday present. Such a nice indispensible traveller's gadget.
We are going to miss it very much, for example opening another bottle...
The remaining check-in procedure was without further disturbance.
Time for the ugly surprise no 3:
After a short waiting time for boarding came an annoucement: Malaysian Airlines are sorry to enounce that the flight to Kuala Lumpur has been suspended until further notice. Due to the weather conditions at the Phuket airport.
Our friend managed to get an hour earlier on a Qatar airlines flight which he had chosen because of a better fare. We are supposed to meet up at the Kuala Lumpur airport. His phone has no roaming so there is no way we can talk or send a message.
As of now we are grounded and he is airborne and he has no information about the hotel we had booked.
We are still waiting ...
As expected, ugly surprised are bound to happen. Adek claims that it is I who brings bad luck.
