Niagara-on the Lake

Niagara-on-the-Lake - a town located 20 km from the Niagara Falls. The town is located in the corner formed by Lake Ontario and flowing into it the Niagara River - the border river with the United States.

On the other side lies of the lake Ontario lies Toront, whose silhouette can be seen on the horizon.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is one of the oldest towns in the province of Ontario. It is very well maintained and the centre is  almost drowning in flowers.

The town is now a major tourist attraction. Its location slightly off the beaten tourist  track and old architecture create a nice contrast with the commercial and kitschy buildings crowded Niagara Falls, which make it look like small Las Vegas.

This annual theatre festival Show Festival, supported by the Irish Nobel Prize winner George Bernard Show.

The area is mostly covered with plantations of fruit trees and extensive vineyards. The beautiful mansions testify to the wealth of their owners, or the profitability of the business that do.

We drove  back to Ottawa again through jammed with cars Toronto.

Zachwycające, urokliwe miasto! Kupiliście sobie piżamki z klapką?
Te jaskrawo zielone i ciemno bordowe liście to Ipomoea. Łódzkie skrzyżowania obsadzone nią wyglądają pięknie, choć nie tak okazale. Mam te roślinki na balkonie.
    Ciekawej, dalszej podróży
