Muscat - flashes of the city's life

Muscat is a beautiful and surprisingly modern metropolis not losing anything of the charm of an Arab town... It has a vibe of a big capital.

The historical museum, somewhat modest in its content, however, shows that since 1970 (the reign of Sultan Qaboos), the city has changed immensely and has become a metropolis not differed from other civilized cities.

From the point of view of tourists - perhaps a it's a little pity.

We had lunch in a very famous (and expensive) restaurant,\; this way we satisfird our snobbery and aftewards we  dipped into the alleys  of the souq - typical for this part of the world markets under the roof.

Returning to the hotel we peeped  into tailoring shops with ladys's fashion.  Thee creations can't be seen in the streets - that beauty is reserved for husbands only!

We were invited to a bakery with an impressive furnice and bestowed with some bread on the road. Smiles had to be  enough for thanks - English was of noe help.

At the end of the day we had dinner in the streetat a  "coffee shop": falafels, chips, hummus, bread cakes and drinks - a lot of  everything  - for only 20 zł! 10 times less than at the other restaurant!
