Once agai in Kampot for a while

I came to Kampot for a moment. I'm doing something here with a better or worse effect.

The city has its charm. Although the end of the season is fast approaching, there are tourists all over. The city itself is vibrant and is developing at an unprecedented pace. It seems that the Cambodians are investing in order to catch up with the Chinese and not let them take over Kampot just as they did and continue to do so with other cities in Cambodia!!

At the end of the day, there was supposed to be dinner at a local restaurant. My guide Sophea took me to a Khmer one, on the river, with very, very, loud music of the disco kambo type (my wording) and with tiring karaoke.

The above was alleviated by a beautiful view of the illuminated city on the other side of the river (actually, we were on the other side) and a gentle breeze from the water. And what’s more, no mosquitoes!

We ordered one dish each of us. After 30 minutes we got only one. I thought that my dish needed special preparation. After an hour it turned out that the waiter had ordered only one dish !! The other one escaped his memory. And it seems to me that he took notes !!

Well! We are in Cambodia and this also has its charm, though.
