Hotels of past Singapore

First, a piece of information about the hotel we were staying at - The Sultan Hotel

"It is one  of the old hotels which is a faithfully preserved and recreated from traditional shophouses. The Sultan retains many beautiful architectural features that hark back to a time when the street beloned to a bustling shopping and trading district. Tall columns, wide arcs, and beautiful full-length shuttered windows – all these architectural features have been lovingly restored for its hotel guests to truly experience the old Singapore charm. Guests  find themselves surrounded by modern luxuries and comforts as they get to live and breathe the splendour and intricacies of old Singapore."

We would like to confirm its unusual beauty and extremly careful restoration. Despite the fact that our cubicle was so small, we enjoyed its comfort and  cosiness.

Now about one of the most known hotels in the world - The Raffles Hotel.

"The Raffles Hotel is a Singapore landmark. Established in 1887, the colonial-era hotel with a rich history is well known for its period architecture and décor, luxurious accommodation and fine cuisine, and has won numerous accolades over the years."

Our pictures show the hotel's elegance and an almost forgotten colonial atmosphere. Although many of beautiful areas of the hotel are restricted to rich hotel guestes, we managed to snap some photos...
