Visitors

Some visits are nice, others less so. But probably no one likes visits paid by the police.

We also had to go through it.

The gentlemen in uniform came to us yesterday morning. First, they were  three, and then one more joined in, and finally the head personally supervised the work of his subordinates.

Two were actually working. That is, they were filing out papers, checking our visas, licenses, permits, etc.

They behaved very politely, refused any treat with coffee or a cold drink.

One of the policemen took photos in the documentation, as he said.

I had a great desire to photograph these five men during their visit, but I did not dare ...

The visit lasted about an hour. It ended with handshakes and assurancet that I could use the services of the local police if needed.

We would prefer not to have such needs.

For a few days we had been hosting two young ladies  from Poland, one of whom we met in Cambodia a year ago.

Adek transported them on the so-called crossroads, where you get a cheap opportunity for a ride.

They went to support local education in Takeo.
