The best way to get to Sydney Taronga Zoo is to take a ferry which leaves from the most important Sydney harbour  - Circular Quai, situated in the heart of the city.

A quarter of an hour voyage let you enjoy spectacular view of all Sydney attractions.

The Zoo is located on a hill sloping to the bay which also allows to watch Sydney from various view points while visiting the garden. After leaving the farry we changed to a cable  godola which took us all the way up the hill. 

Except a possibility of watching unique and threatened by extiction fauna species of Australia, according to a daily schedule, you could see a free bird show, a seal show, or meet some of the keepers who take care of one of the species and talk about their pupils. You might have a chance of petting an animal, as it often happens with koala bears. The queue to this attractions is long, though.
