The "crooked" windows cont.

One more building in Szczecin has got "crooked" windows. But this one is famous and has its history and merits for the city.

For over 70 years, there has been an Art High School there.

"The Loitz's tenement house (German: Schweitzerhof) - one of the most famous and most valuable monuments of Szczecin from the late Gothic period, one of the few examples of former burgher buildings in the city.

During World War II in 1944 as a result of the raid the interior of the building was completely burned out.

It was rebuilt in 1955, since then it has housed the Art High School.”

The Piast Boulevard proves how important for the city is its coexistence with the river. We had missed it for many years when the Odra almost did not participate in the recreational life of the city.

There is an elegant sailor's monument of Kazimierz Haska and … of herrings!

"Kazimierz Haska – a pioneer of sailing and museology in Szczecin.”

"Five barrels made of bronze appeared on the Piast Boulevardi. This is another part of the development of Szczecin's Sailors’ Avenue.. "

Urban murals are my passion and I regret that there are so few of them in Szczecin.

The mural with the caption: "Subject: It's not children who burn garbage!" somehow more appeals to me than the one with JPII and Solidarity.
