From the very beginning of the Film and Art Festival Two Brzegi, critics draw attention to its non-standard approach to film art. The premise of the event is to combine the artist with the recipient and the film, literature, music and visual arts, that is all the disciplines from which X Muza draws. The film program compiles proposals for original, artistic, independent, socially engaged cinema, original forms of contemporary cinema and young European cinema. The festival includes Kazimierz Dolny,Janowiec nad Wisłą and their surroundings, eg the village of Mięćmierz. It opens its program to the local community and culture.

The idea of Dwóch Brzegów is to expand the Polish film offer. Thanks to several years' experience of cooperation with other festivals, film screenings of films awarded in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, Rotterdam are being realized. The festival also features productions that will not be included in the repertoire of Polish cinemas. In cooperation with film colleges from Poland and abroad, a short film competition is organized, the aim of which is to create a debut scene for young artists.
