Pre-Christmas Sunday

Shopping Sunday. This adjective once had a nice meaning. It definitely added colours the pre-Christmas periods. Today in the era of trade bans (because it's a sin) it sounds repulsive to me. Well, now we are allowed to go to the stores! Today the church can wait. Families will integrate in shopping malls in search of presents for Christmas.

This year, "merry Christmas" sounds like an oxymoron to me" cold fires" (Polish words for fireworks). What is supposed to be merry?

Szczecin spent PLN 200,000 less to decorate the city. The local government budget has been heavily cut.

Only two streets were decorated. The atmosphere is saved by shopping malls where money was not limited to attract customers.
