Minos and his palace in Knossos

I already wrote about King Minos and the Minotaur, so now about his palace and the Labyrinth.

The trip to Knossos confirmed the great history of Crete and the limitless knowledge that can be gained by touring the island. Of course, you have to be a fan of ancient history.

"The Knossos Palace is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. It is also one of the most attractive to visit thanks to the lively and colorful restoration that brings the ancient world to life."

King Minos' Palace is just a 15-minute drive from Heraklion.

The visualization of the palace shows the enormity of this building, of which little is left: the so-called " stone on stone ".

The huge area (2000 ha) is impossible to comprehend in a short time, but our guide "chased" us around the excavation site, so that within an hour we got to know the history of this historic complex.

The famous Labyrinth, which was located under the palace, cannot be visited now due to "COVID". There is a lot to excuse due to the pandemic ...
