Oaxaca and its vicinities

We have sightseen three attractions which the area offers:

'1) The city of Oaxaca, which is situated in southern Mexico in southern Sierra Nevada, at the elevation of 1500 m., at the Panamerican Highway. About 300 thousand inhabitants.

2) El Árbol del Tule (Spanish for "the Tule Tree") is a tree located in the church grounds in the town center of Santa María del Tule in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, approximately 9 km east of the city of Oaxaca. It has the stoutest trunk of any tree in the world. Its trunk has a circumference of 36.2 m (119 ft), equating to a diameter of 11.62m (38.1 ft).

3) Mitla is the second most important archeological site in the state of Oaxaca in Mexico, and the most important of the Zapotec culture.

Not always do the places we visit make a great impression on us, so the photos are not so impressive either. We look at the historical monuments, we listen to the precolumbian  Mexican history, and we end up in such places like production of wool garments or mezcal (tequila made in the South). The aim of such "excursions" - tourist traps is making tourist buy things at the places guides/drivers are paid to stop at.

Well, this is tourist fate...
