Xalapa and its vicinities

10.30 pm in Mexico - 5.30 am in Europe

Accross high mountains we went from Oaxaca to Xalapa - the capital of the Veracruz state, and  immediately after that to San Antonio, a small community where Krystyna, Juan and his sister live. Krystyna is our friend from Wiselka where her familly are our neighbours. She, herself  has lived in Mexico for many years.

We are staying at a beautiful rancho which belongs to Juan´s sister  Margarita - Krystyna's partner.

Yesterday we went to a fandango concert. Inccredible energy of the musicians and a maestry  in playing the instruments which merely remind of guitars amazed us.

Today a trip to coffee fields. We are not going to bore you, but we have learned a lot in a coffee museum about the origin of the drink, it's cultivation, it's harvesting and preparation of the beans for roasting.

On our back home "we droped in" to some river cascades where many films were shot, among others  Romancing the Stone. It was at dark, so the photos are not good for publishing but we attached the one with toilet paper because Adek's nose is running. Juan commented that Adek needed the paper because behind him there was a deep precipice and he could shit himself from fear.
