This is the 1,071st entry on this blog since its beginning. I have included several thousand photos in total. All were taken with my Sony camera or Adka's Samsung phone.
We usually complement each other because we often have different views on the reality around us...
Today Iwonka joined us and we went for a long walk along the promenade in the dunes, all the way to the mouth of the Dziwna River.
Rough seas and a backwater on the river (nothing common on this strange river) promised spectacular photos. During the walk, I was preparing in my mind the text of the entry, happy that the photos would be spectacular...
When I got home, it turned out that the camera didn't record a single photo!!
The memory card was missing! It just disappeared!
A search revealed that it had fallen out of the camera while charging the battery. And this is a mini card: 0.8 x 1.2 cm!
During the walk Adek took some photos with his phone that proved where we were. And the sky was azure!
This does not compensated for my loss and we had to cheer up ourselves with good drinks snacks.
Pikling reigned supreme on the table!!!*
Well, the statistics are inexorable: one case in over a thousand is probably not the worst result!
*Pikling – commercial name of smoked herring. Pikling is whole smoked herring - with entrails. Pickling comes from German cuisine, but it is also prepared and eaten in Poland, the British Isles, the Netherlands and Norway.
