Turtles once again

We're spending the last day before going to exploring the central part of the island, in Hikkaduwa, where we only observe the unreasonable behavior of tourists:

Turtles regularly come to one of the bays, right to the shore, and feed on the seaweed. Tourists flock to the beach and go into the water to "feed" the animals, pet them, and actually disturb their natural behavior.

I am truly outraged by such thoughtless behavior. This is not a zoo! The poor animals probably don't understand what's going on and are happy to enjoy an easy meal from a human's hand.

In our hotel restaurant, we learn to eat with our hands, just like the locals do arguing that this is the only way they really enjoy food...

It's not an easy "technique", but there's something real about it.
