Already in the south of Thailand

After 38 hours of travel, we arrived at our first stop in Ao Nang, 30 km from Krabi airport. Naturally, it's on the Andaman Sea (part of the Indian Ocean).

Despite the long journey, we weren't completely unhappy. Travel surprises are a regular part of vacation life, and we've been on holidays ever since we left home.

Along the way, there were stops at VIP lounges (the less important VIPs though)), some good food, a few very good drinks, a short night in a hotel near the Bangkok airport (then it was midday in Poland), a short flight to Krabi*, and finally, a comfortable arrival at Blue Ba You (whatever that means).

We're ready to fully enjoy the Krabi region's tourist attractions.

Where the crab is a symbol:

**Krabi is the capital of and main town in Krabi Province, on the west coast of southern Thailand, where the Krabi River flows into Phang Nga Bay. The town lies 650 km south of Bangkok, and as of 2020, has a population of 32,644. As in much of southern Thailand, the local economy centres largely on tourism.
