The anniversary celebrations continue

PART II

Note: We recommend reading and watching Part I first. Following the chronological order will make it easier to get to know the participants of the PROGRESS anniversary celebration.

There were two groups of outstanding teachers. The first were those whom I had the pleasure of training in English teaching methodology (yes, 35 years ago) and who had always been stars in their profession, not just at PROGRESS.

The second were our teaching youth, then rising stars in the English teaching profession, graduates of the University of Szczecin. Working at PROGRESS allowed them to spread their wings and fall in love with their profession.

The official part of the PROGRESS anniversary celebration included the presentation of commemorative medals.

The ceremony was held amidst applause from those awarded "best teacher" and from other participants awarded "best partner," "best boss," "best friend," and "best husband" – so that no one felt left out of their achievements!

Then there was a toast, a PROGRESS song, a hot dinner, and an anniversary cake.

Now, PROGRESS song in a smoohh jazz version:

“A Celebration at PROGRESS” – English Version

(Verse 1)

Hey, PROGRESS, raise a glass to thirty-five sweet years,

Where every student finds their voice and leaves behind their fears.

With every single lesson, a brand new passion starts,

You're teaching us the languages that open up our hearts.

(Chorus)

The vibrant Chameleon winks with a knowing cheer,

"Keep going, keep on learning!" the message, loud and clear.

And so we celebrate now, with confidence and pride,

'Cause PROGRESS is the place where learning comes alive.

(Verse 2)

From proper British English to that smooth Brazilian ease,

The rhythm of the Spanish, the chill of Swedish breeze.

You open up our world, unlocking every gate,

‘Cause every tongue we master creates a brighter fate.

(Chorus)

The vibrant Chameleon winks with a knowing cheer,

"Keep going, keep on learning!" the message, loud and clear.

And so we celebrate now, with confidence and pride,

'Cause PROGRESS is the place where learning comes alive.

(Verse 3)

With Jacek at the helm, who guides with so much flair,

He brings the best instructors, there’s magic in the air.

They help us speak with courage, standing proud and tall,

And suddenly exams are no big deal at all.

 (Chorus)

The vibrant Chameleon winks with a knowing cheer,

"Keep going, keep on learning!" the message, loud and clear.

And so we celebrate now, with confidence and pride,

'Cause PROGRESS is the place where learning comes alive.

The charming part of the evening, when everyone took turns sharing anecdotes from the teacher's life (and beyond), which generated enthusiasm and peals of laughter, lasted until late.

It was almost midnight when we had to say goodbye. Until the next meeting...

As a reward, we all went to Hawaii for a while, a moment captured by Artur Knypiński, a loyal PROGRESS English teacher.

Dziękuję wszystkim uczestnikom zlotu szalonych Best Teachers i przyległości, oraz ogłaszam konkurs na najlepsze wyjaśnienie dziwnego zjawiska: dlaczego wszyscy najpiękniej wyglądamy na zdjęciach zrobionych po zachodzie słońca?
