The comfortable 30-minute journey from Riga to Majori allowed for a good view of the surrounding area, confirming that here and there, the old days, rightly gone, are still visible.
But the resort itself is beautiful!
We happened upon a Sunday market, which added a touch of color to our stroll through Majori.
While browsing the multitude of souvenirs available at the market and in the surrounding shops, we decided to deepen our knowledge of Latvian alcoholic beverages and make some purchases.
“Latvian Balsam (known as Riga Black Balsam) is a traditional Latvian herbal liqueur with an alcohol content of 45%. It is famous for its black color and deep, bittersweet flavor derived from dozens of natural ingredients. It is considered one of the most important symbols of Riga.”
At the last minute, we remembered that our floght ticket did not include check-in baggage, which would allow for larger volumes of liquids.
And we fly cheap...
So we bought a "souvenir set" – three 100 ml bottles!
We will treat our guests to drops...
And so we had to return.
And in Riga, we were met by a short but powerful storm.
