From Yangon to Hpa-An it took us six hours in a rented car (with a driver), because the journey by public transport would take twice as much.
Being short of time, again we cannot be called real travellers, and again we behave like ordinary tourists. Shame on us!

Hpa-An is the capital of the Kayin state. We started with a small monastery on the rock and the sunset over the river.
The monastery is as you can see. Serviced by 10 monks, attracts tourists with its unique location.
The temple on the slope above the river is also a place for evening get-togethers of the inhabitants, because the view of the river at sunset is spectacular.
Down below the temple, by the river, people are getting ready for work for the next day: from the village across the river, boats bring their goods for the tomorrow market.
Some watch the sunset, while others work hard. And so it must be!
