Already in Paris!

EasyJet took us to the airport Orly, from which, by tramway (!) and metro we got to our hotel in the 6th district - right on the Boulevard Saint-Germain - in the heart of the Latin Quarter.

I wondered why the university district is so called. Well, in the Middle Ages until the French Revolution in universities there only the Latin language was used.

Right after the arrival we went to meet with our friends, who ‘summond’ us to Paris and then to dinner at the jazz club Chez Papa, where Leslie Lewis for four hours sensationally  interpreted the world jazz standards.

After the concert there was a photo taking, conversation with the artist and purchase of an autographed CD.

Our lady friends who made us come to Paris: Renata from Washington DC and Terenia fdrom California. The others in the group: Sylvia and Geroge from London - Renata's cousins.

A beautiful evening to start our stay!

To those who would like to listen to Leslie:
