Mallorca (or Malorca as its inhabitants call it) is one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. The hot climate and convenient location, in the past attracted the Romans, Moors and Byzantines, who loved the beach and the sunhine, as we do it today.
However, Majorca has long been ready to host another friendly invasion - golfers.
The climate is perfect for golf - warm sunny summer, a refreshing sea breeze, gentle rains, mild winters and average temperature of 21 degrees C.
Golf is not a sport that has us so far attracted as an opportunity to gain a physical form.
We went to the Malorka with eager lady-golfers - Ania and Bozena, to look at this sport and find out what there is in it so special.
After the first visits to the golf courses (and there are dozens of them here) we came to understanding that the game of golf motivated for travelling around the world looking for next fantastic places to practice the sport.
The on-going question: is it a hobby or a sport? Or perhaps both? And certainly, it's a lifestyle...
The most fantastic in it is being the outdoors amid beautiful nature and spectacular views. Last but not least is a possibility of relaxation in a friendly, luxurious atmosphere of the golf club ...
Unfortunately, like all good things, all this is expensive.
We watched the ladies at game with envy and admired their advancement in skills. It's not easy to get those. It takes years ...
And maybe we will catch the bug?
