At night things look almost the same in Bangkok...

As we know "almost the same" makes a lot of difference, though...

Mourning or no mourning life must go on. Life does not tolerate any vacuum. So after more than a month of limitations in all entertainment, a ban on playing loud music and even a night street vending, it was  allowed to go back to the nightlife only until midnight. After midnight there was to be mournful silence.

A week ago, it was allowed to restore the old night-time activities, without which  Bangkok is a completely different city.

Into the streets there are slowly returning rows of stalls with everything that is necessary for the city to look as usual. Today it is still  far from the old atmosphere in the famous district of Silom.

Nightclubs may operate until two in the morning. They slowly fill up with tourists and "locals". They are still fewer than usual because the end of November is barely a beginning of the season. The rainy season has  not yet completely subsided – so it rains  every now and then.

We begin our entertainment element of the trip with a visit to our regular  club "The Balcony", where we received a  loud welcome from our befriended waiters. You can tell they have a good reason to be excited...

Newly accuired T-shirt draws attention, so Adek poses for pictures!

For a while we were remembering our group stay here with a dozen of us called a "Burmese group”,  in February 2016 and went on to finish off  the evening/night at the DJ Station disco.

Even the Drag Queen Show would started earlier, probably the artist must "do the round" to a few more places before closing the premises close down.

Quantities of the  "artistic" smoke and fog do not allow me to make good pictures with a weak equipment. Sorry. But as you can see it, the performers were engaged to the full.

For your information: the "entry" costs 35 PLN, and you get 2 free drinks with or without alcohol.
