Lake Inle 3

Over a hundred thousands people live on the water in stilt-houses.

There are four large villages on the lake and a dozen samller ones surrounding the big ones.

Actually, looking at the pictures there's no need for their descrioption. The villages on the water live according to the same social rules as any others. They only have one difficulty in life mofre - there's endless and countless water under them.

The only real entertainment the Inle lake inhabitants know are two annual buddhist festivals on the water which go on for a many days.

We haven't been lucky enough to see any of them.
