1. A weekly market

Once a week in each of five villages on the lake's coast takes pkace a market

We went there with Mr Thun Thun across the lake in his boat and just after an hour we found ourselves amongst a colourful crowd of the locals and tourists from all over the world.

The tourists make fuss, shamelessly take photos and do not buy much. The locals put up with all that with calm worth admiration. The sad truth is that without those tourists life would be even worse...

There's one thing which we do not like here at all: ubiquitious chewing on betel leaves stuffed with some herbal things, and leaving dark read spittings behind  literally everywhere. The people's teeth (not only the men's) are dark brown from this habit. They say the women like it ...
