Bahla and Jabreen Forts

For a while we say goodbye to the mountains and begin to explore the historical forts.

The Bahla Fort - a powerful fortress built of clay, located at the Bahla oasis. The first fortress built probably by Persiaans, was conquered and destroyed w1610 year. The current fort was built in the seventeenth century by the Nabhani dynasty, whose capital of the state was in Bahla.

The fort is built of clay and surrounded by a wall with a height of 5 meters.

Jabrin is a small town in northeastern Oman, near Al Hamra.

The city is famous for its impressive castle - fortress which was built by the dynasty of Yaruba Imam Sultan bin Bil'arab, who ruled from 1679 to 1692.
