Kep by the ocean

We have reached Kep, where we are going to do a little and to rest a lot.

We'll see how we can manage this.

Kep, also known as Keb - "Seddle" - is the smallest province in Cambodia. There is also the Kep National Park.

Under the French rule, Kep belonged to the Résidentielle de Kampot, developing in the most prestigious coastal city of Cambodia. Established in 1908, the village under the name Kep-Sur-Mer, was a thriving holiday destination for the French and Cambodian elite until the early seventies.

I will tell you what happened here during the civil war tomorrow.

Today is Sunday, so thousands of local tourists came here, to the beach, to spread out under the shade of trees, with families, and eat a solid meal on the main street adjacent to this beach.

Like Polish Międzyzdroje, where tourists do not do much except eating. The difference is that our first fry themselves on the beach, and then walk on the streets with ice cream, waffles, watts and other calories among the numerous attractions that make stink and noise.

The people here, calmly, all families (numerous), consume their meals while squatting on mats. And the cars pass by peacefully.

As for us, after a walk in the park and peeping into a few caves, we rested on a butterfly farm.

Having lunch at a house on high stilts, we were watching the distant ocean.

W tych kwiatach i tej egzotycznej zieleni nie widać Waszego wirusa. Patrząc na Wasze wędrówki to i nam lżej w tym szarym mieście. Ściskamy.
