This time a trip to Sihanoukville

In search of the best option of the "extraction" of the container from the port we had to go to Sihanoukville.

It was not a nice trip. We covered 100 km in 2.5 hours on a very, very bumpy road. Before the upcoming season, after the end of the rainy season, a great repair will probably begin. Otherwise, there is no chance that some tourists would come here ...

Sihanoukville makes a very bad impression. Nobody speaks English here, and all businesses are run by Chinese people who do not speak Khmer. We had a big problem with ordering dishes without meat.

The prices here are higher by some 25%. We felt like in China!

We hardly found the right agency that wanted to give us the quotation of the service without any obligation on our part.

As a result, only tomorrow will we know the costs of the entire operation (including customs duty) and the date of arrival of the container to the house.

The customs duty may prove painful ...

The way back home after dark was even harder and longer, but these are the charms of Cambodia in the rainy season.

One fairly specific attraction was to see a cremation stack. Pay attention to the smoke coming out of this colourful construction.

The cremation lasts all night, and the bones are put in a casket, which is placed in a stupa (a kind of collective tomb).

Tired, we end the day.
