Laki Uma Villa + surprise nr 5

Our villa, a four-room hotel is located in the south-west part of the island. Before I'll tell you about our accommodation, some information from the Wikipedia:

"Bali is an Indonesian island located in the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. It is one of the country's 33 provinces with the provincial capital at Denpasar towards the south of the island. Wit a population recorded as 3,891,000 in the 2010 census, the island is home to most of Indonesia's small Hindu minority. In the 2000 census about 92.29% of Bali's population adhered to Balinese Hinduism while most of the remainder follow Islam."

A beautiful villa with a charming name  Laki Uma (I'm not going to reveal the translation from the Indonisian - just browse in the Internet), is about 4 km far from the town Savinyak. With a total lack of any public transport - we have only taxis left.

Our hotel gives an impression of a private residence with the maid. Out of four guestrooms only three are ocuppied and we are served by 6 - 8 people. We have all on-site except meals (breakfast included, though), the washing, ironing, cleaning, clearing the pool, dropping off in town by car (return by taxi).

In short, we are very comfortable here and reluctantly set off for the town, where there is terrible car and motorbike traffic, noise and exhaust fumes.

In our programme today we had a visit in a Bali history museum (The Wikipedia will tell you the truth), a batik outlet and a sliver-goldsmith. We haven't seen the latter because an ugly surprise nr 5 stood in our way.

Our almost  new Ford pick-up suddenly refused to obey and didn't want to move on.

We came back home in an reliable taxi.

If the car can't be fixed by tomorrow, another programme item will not be fulfiled.

There is a nearby beach in a taxi distance, though....
