A short pause

The other day we received the following e-mail from our kind friend Magda from Szczecin:

Dear Jack, if you do not write one day, I start worrying ...

And what are we to do? It's just that nothing is happening these days here, which would be worth entering to the blog! We are sitting at the Chameleon looking for guests, gossiping about our business neighbours and others, and from time to time attending customers.

There are so few of them that they do not interfere with our idling, but at the same time they are a few that we do not forget what our kitchen looks like "from the inside" and how much work it means.

Andrzej W. from Gorzów asked on the phone why we were silent (!) on the blog. When we replied that even we ourselves  got bored with writing about "chops", he said: Write about the chops, but do it every day!

Adek's motorcycle reaches its end of life and we have to make a decision whether to buy a new one, or to invest in the renovation of the old one, which probably will continue to deteriorate, anyways. I think, however, we will wait a bit with the decision, because in the near future we do not plan trips that'd require a motorbike in a better shape.

We have Mondays off in plans (!) to ride around the area. But it probably will not happen before the season  starts for good and we will need to relax from the Chameleon.

For two days, a great advertisement was being put up in front of our house. We thought from the cartoons there (it's not from the text in Khmer, of course) that it was a private television commercial. It turned out that it is a vocational training program for girls and boys (sewing and car mechanics). No one dares to propose the other way round.

Excess sand from the excavations was thrown, just like this,  into our garden !!

We also have a new advertisement - a mini board informing about a room for rent.

As far as the chops are concerned, I will be writing more later on.
