On beer

Już Platon powiedział, że piwo wymyślił mędrzec.

There was about chops, burgers, vegetables and other dishes on our menu. There was about cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. And about beer? Was it there? There was none! Well, it's time!

As you can guess, beer in Cambodia is not a drink similar to European beers. Because it is a beer without hop, so it is just lager beer, which in the heat well quenches thirst.

On the cans there "stands" written that it has 5% vol. It seems to us that it is a non-alcoholic drink. Seeing, however, drinkers who drink without restrictions, and the effect of its action especially on non-resistant to alcohol Khmer people, we come to the conclusion that something must be there in it, though…

In "The Chameleon" we serve lager CAMBODIA beer and stout BARRLEY BLACK beer. The latter has 8% volume. And it is not sweet like many dark ones. It really tastes a bit Irish.

They are not cheap. A can of 0.33 l lager - 1US, stout - 1.5US.

Down town you can get 0.33 l draft for 0.5 US during the Happy Hour.

We offer cocktails which are cheaper in the Happy Hour, because we do not want beer lovers. Because they smoke and eat nothing ...

With an old non-ecological habit, the cans are opened by tearing the pop tab. Everyone nervously checks what is written on it, because you can win a scooter, or at least another can of beer. We already have some of those pop tabs. We will pick up beers in the store when we collect 24 pieces.

We do not sell draft beer, as we are not able to sell 60 beers in four days’ time of the keg’s content during its expiration day.

Plato said that beer was invented by a sage.
