Wat Phnom - the capital's heart

Wat Phnom, or the temple hill, has a long history about which I wrote:

Wat Phnom

Today I would like to add that this is a place of Buddhist worship, but in a Cambodian-Chinese variety. The Cambodians of the Chinese roots come here from all over the world to leave their offering to the god (gods?).

And those offerings and the way they are made  arouse the interest of tourists.

Great quantities of bacon (!), whole piglets, eggs, and fruit are laid on the altars and in the mouths of dragons. It can also cause slight disgust ...

But faith has its demands!
