Spring is the time to start a cultural life, right?

At the beginning, a concert at the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall*. For non-Szczecin residents two footnotes below.

We went to the Mitch and Mitch concert.

This big band (9 musicians) surprised us with its repertoire, which cannot be defined in a few words.

 I quote:

"(...) For 17 years musicians Mitch & Mitch have been performing and recording in various configurations (duet, quintet, octet, choral and orchestral version). Their concerts are received enthusiastically (...) The concert of this unbridled musical element is a surprise for our listeners and at the same time another edition of the Energico series [energetically, firmly, decisively] (...)

According to the artists' assumption, they shared with us their positive energy and intrigued with musical interpretations.

And so, charged with this positive energy, we felt the need to end up the evening with a glass of wine. It turned out that good music also had a positive effect on our appetite; we ordered small dishes before going to bed ...

*"Philharmonic Hall Mieczysław Karłowicz in Szczecin - a leading cultural institution in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, housed since 2014 in a modern building, distinguished in many competitions, built in 2011-2014 at 48 Małopolska Street in Szczecin, at the site of the Art Nouveau Konzerthaus destroyed at the end of World War II **. The Szczecin Philharmonic musicians have over 70 years of history. "

** "Konzert- und Vereinshaus, Konzerthaus - a non-existent concert building in Szczecin. It was located at Augustastraße 48 (now Lesser Poland). The building was adjacent to the preserved building of the Police Presidium (then the headquarters of the Gestapo, MO, UB and Police). It was modernly equipped with the cultural center of Szczecin. "

I regret that the building was demolished although it was in good condition. Unfortunately, it neighboured mean institutions. It got sentenced to extermination.
