At friends' in Gdańsk

After the musical in Gdynia, we went to Gdańsk again for a gala dinner on the occasion of the opening of the "Gambas" restaurant (shrimp).

Kaja and Kajetan - are two very young restaurateurs who captivated us with their life attitude, when we met them during their stay in Kampot. They spent their holidays in Asia before taking a serious job while running their own restaurant.

Kajetan gained experience in the kitchens of England, France and Spain and therefore he decided on a sophisticated menu: steaks made of special (expensive) beef and seafood.

We shared our experiences in running a restaurant and discussed the positive and less positive aspects of the job  ...

Today we were served a set of seafood (squid, shrimp and mussels) as an appetizer. Then there was ceviche*  of cod, and then grilled seabass.

Excellent food. Congatulations to the Chef! 

We wish Kaja and Kajetan success in a difficult gastronomic business. We believe that their enthusiasm but also professional skills will bring them satisfaction and fulfill their expectations.

 *Ceviche - a type of seafood salad that most probably comes from Peru. The dish is popular in the coastal regions of Latin America and the Caribbean. Traditional ceviche is prepared by sprinkling raw, chopped fish with citrus juice (usually lime), with the addition of onions, chilli and salt, and leaving for a short marinade.
