For the next two days we are going south - to Veracruz*, which is 120 km from Xalapa.

Veracruz

We’re going there with Mauricio to visit Dona Sofia - mother of the Arredono family who has lived here for many years.

Already on the way we were caught by a solid wind, which turned into a hurricane: 130km / h.

Visibility is zero and the sand is coming over from the sea.

The port of Veracruz got closed.

The architectural shape of the Foro Boca concert hall impressed us, which during the hurricane served as a huge breakwater!

From the windows of the weekend apartment of our friend’s of Mauricio’s from Xalapa, where we are staying, we can see the rough sea, curving palm trees and not much more.

Today's entry is delayed, because the Internet did not come back for long either ...

Instead of sightseeing, we have a wonderful dinner in the company of Old Lady (91 years old) and Mauricio. The dinner lasted a long time, because new dishes and desserts were served endlessly.

* Veracruz, lies on the Mexican coast of the Gulf of Mexico, about 120 km from the capital of the state of Xalapa. The city has 444,000 residents.
