Unfortunate Aztec ruler

"Montezuma, considered an absolute ruler, was the ruler of the Aztecs at the height of the power of the city-state of Tenochtitlán. During his reign, the previous conquests of the Aztecs were consolidated. He was an undecided ruler, under pressure of prophecy. He was surrounded by fortune-tellers who predicted the arrival of one of the gods - Quetzalcoatl. The arrival of the Spaniards under Cortés in the foretold (eight characters) and expected time (in the so-called year of one cane) caused Montezuma to treat him as a god. Counting on considerable spoils, Cortés set off for Tenochtitlán, where he met with the Aztec ruler. After this meeting, Montezuma probably realized that Cortés was not a god, but he could not resist him strongly. He did not support the uprising in the capital against invaders, which took place after many disputes and paid for it with his life. The consequence of his death was the fall of Tenochtitlan the following year, and the effect of both of these events was the rapid conquest of all Mesoamerica, which led in particular to the decline of culture and art in this area."

And do you know that the spirit of Montezuma is alive?

And here he is in Mexico and takes revenge on tourists.

His play on those who defeated him and seized his empire is called Revenge of Montezuma.

Montezuma's revenge consists of diarrhea experienced by tourists after drinking water or eating food in Mexico as a result of a bacterial strain that native Mexicans are resistant to.

The Aztec chief treated us gently and created "stomach discomfort" lasting only one day!

Tradition has been fulfilled!
