Our walk around Szczecin, despite a rainy and foggy day, begins with ŁASZTOWNIA.

"Łasztownia (from German Lastadie, from Latin lastadium) - in port cities, designation of the place where goods are unloaded and loaded onto ships or where ships unload their ballast. In general, there are warehouses in these places, called granaries. "

In Szczecin:

"Łasztownia - a river island - currently its eastern, southern and northern ends are framed by the waters of the Parnica, the Green Channel, the Western Odra, the Danczyca and the Wrocław Channel."

After years of cutting off the city from the Odra River and isolating the inhabitants from the port areas, it happened!

It was created:

"The new heart of the city. One of the most interesting places in Szczecin, one of the most mysterious. The island located on the eastern part of the Odra River was once a place where life was bursting. Now it has a chance to become the new heart of the city again.

After the renovation of the boulevards, Szczecin has changed a lot.

The wharf started to live, and the usually empty neighborhoods by the Oder were filled with people. You can meet cyclists, runners and anglers there. It is a great place for walks and meetings. There is also probably no better place for a coffee. And on the other side of the river, you can see, among others, the building of the Customs Office, elevator Ewa, Lastadia, Old Slaughterhouse or well-known cranes, which from time to time play the main role in illuminations.

The photos do not confirm the presence of residents or tourists, but they have a special atmosphere...

The difficult day of the tourist must be ended by strengthening the energy in the restaurant "The Kitchen" - at Boulevard Piastowski. The restaurant met our expectations 100%, as the photos prove it.

After 10pm walking along Rayskiego street, ee can see through the shop window the boss of the cult bakery - Mr. Reczyński. The boss waves his hand to us and invites us inside!

The citizens of Wrocław were shocked - because they have not seen such a bakery yet.
