Catania at day and night time

Catania is the second largest city in Sicily after Palermo.

Surprisingly, although it is situated by the sea, it is clearly visible that the coastal part is not an integral part of the city.

It is Mount Etna which can be seen from almost anywhere in the city, makes Catania unique. This volcano flooded the city several times, covering part of the buildings with lava.

Etna is still smoking!

Catania can be called a city of disasters - apart from the volcano, the city was damaged by earthquakes, invasions and conquests.

Catania means good cuisine. The number of restaurants makes it difficult to choose. Those found on the Internet turned out to be closed ... COVID-19 did its job!

In the morning we went outside the city to see the seaside part with beaches and attractions of the type.

On Sunday evening, the city is alive! And it's not the tourists, but the locals, who make the move here.

They are enjoying life!

Tak sobie wesoło po ruinach hasała,
Aż oko w oko z gadem się spotkała,
Myszka jak kamień wystrzelony z procy
    Na bok odskoczyła, unikła przemocy!

Na ciepłym kamieniu życie słodko płynie,
Nie chciało się ruszyć leniwej gadzinie !
I odtąd szczęśliwie, jak jedna rodzina
Żyli mucha i pająk, myszka i gadzina .
