High culture in Warsaw

It was supposed to be a spring trip to Warsaw full of cultural events.

The culture did not disappoint us, but the spring unfortunately did – the winter winds whipped us, taking away the pleasure of walking.

So, we focused on "culture" in the interiors.

We went to the Museum of Wola - in Warsaw's Wola district - on foot, fighting the cold wind a bit, walking through this former working-class district along streets with beautiful names: Pańska, Złota, Śliska, Twarda, Miedziana, Żelazna up to Srebrna, where this museum is located.

And what is there in it?

The exhibition Kim Lee - Queen of Warsaw.

Who is or actually was Kim Lee?

Kim Lee, actually Andy Nguyen (born December 28, 1963 in Hanoi, died December 18, 2020) - Polish drag queen of Vietnamese origin, activist of the LGBTQ movement.

And what is there at the exhibition?

In addition to the costumes, the photos and videos documenting Kim Lee's stage identities were presented.

COVID 19 seized everyone and killed them at will. Kim Lee passed away at the beginning of the pandemic.
