Grand art in Krakow? What is DRAG all about?
It's time to get serious about art!
Krakow is the perfect place for this!
DRAG ART? WHAT IS IT?
In short: Drag queens are people (usually men) who wear female costumes and makeup to create an exaggerated, theatrical, often humorous, or artistic female character.

What exactly does a drag queen do?
- Perform on stage – sing (often lip-syncing lyrics to a playback), dance, host a show, and joke.
- Create a character – exaggerated, colorful, and theatrical, often inspired by pop culture icons.
- Entertain, provoke, and comment – drag often challenges stereotypes about gender and appearance. Sometimes it pokes fun at about the supposed 248 genders (as Polish politicians claim).
- Create art – makeup, costumes, choreography, and a stage persona constitute a fully-fledged art form.
Important distinctions
- A drag queen is not a transgender person. Drag is a performance, not a gender identity.
- A drag queen is not a cross-dresser. Cross-dressing is often private and not a performance; drag is a stage art.
- Women in male roles The stage performers are drag kings.

So we head to the "Drag Theater" to finally enjoy some some grand art!

The report tomorrow!
