Trip to the island Hong

The Krabi Region is one of many picturesque ones in Thailand. They say the most picturesque one. This province distinguishes itself with typical limestone massives connected with azure sea which fascinates just everybody.

After a little over one hour flight Air Asia from Bangkok, here we are.

Not far from Ao Nang in the region Krabi, which lies on the Adaman Sea coast, there is an island called Hong. There we decided to go by a long-tailed boat whose proppeler is kicked out for some metres behind the stern. We were watching with appreciation how it was steered and found it as great art and a hard job. We wanted to show it in our photos.

The aim of our trip was kayaking round the island during which we admired lagoons and mangrove forests. An attraction for itself was the colour and transparency of the water with temp. 26 C.

A quotation from the Wikipedia: "A mangrovge coast is a type of a low coast overgrown by saltphilic forests, with a high amplitude of tides, characteristic of the zones between the tropics." The quotation is a bit boring, but we do not know much about botanics and are not able to describe it in a more interesting way.
