Piazza de Spagna

The seasons have their  rights and they are notoriously fickle. Even in Rome. It is  colder here than usually in February,  and most of the time it's raining.

However, nothing will prevent us from fulfiling the programme of our stay here, which is filled up to the minute with attractions which the city offers.

We are staying most "centrally" as it is possible - just off the Piazza di Spagna (the famous stairs!), Allowing us to reach out to the most important places on foot. It actually means walking about 20 miles per day!

Olaf - our guide, and as we wrote in the "List of travel", a great scholar and devotee of Rome, decided to show us the Eternal City in the way very few  tourists have a chance to do.

And this requires being in a good shape on our part. But it's worth it! We are getting awards at every step.

Both aesthetically and gastronomically.

So let's set off to hard work! We will share with you a small part of what is given to us through the vast knowledge and passion of Olaf's.

We are six of us here and we're staying  in a beautiful apartment which we call our Palace. Because it almost looks like one ...
