Our guides during work in the jungle

"Trekking in the jungle" - sounds uncommon, a bit mysterious, certainly exotic.

Does it require fitness? Is this difficult? Is this for everyone?

There is no unambiguous answer to these questions. Everyone has to make their own decision after listening to the rules and conditions for a two-day trekking in the Mondulkiri jungle. This introduction to the "trip" is introduced by a real jungle man, a resident of Senmonorom - representative of the Bunong tribe - Vanleang. His assistant is Nara - unbelievably efficient in his jungle work, and at the same time full of personal charm, which gains everyone's sympathy.

Everybody has to carry his own backpack with personal belongings, a hammock and a total of 3 l of drinking water for each day (on the second day the bottles are refilled with boiled water from the stream).

The guides - two for six trekking people) carry supplies (raw materials) for a total of 3 meals and machetes.

With those machetes they prepare (all the time in the movement) dishes necessary for cooking. All of bamboo! The only "permanent" element is an aluminum pot for cooking rice and water.

The manual efficiency and the ability to quickly organize the camp by our guides is admirable. Before we finished our bath in a waterfall after a long, tiring trekking day, the food was ready.

See them at work.
