In the forest

Everything green (living) inside the city and around Szczecin is the Wkrzańska Forest. It is a great lung of the agglomeration and the area of countless hiking and cycling trails.

We use this natural gift by visiting the forest areas regularly. Every time we admire the shape of its area, and above all its welfare, which serves us all.

Puszcza

"Puszcza Wkrzańska (German: Ueckermünder Heide) - a forest located in Germany in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) and in Poland - in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the Powiat of Police and partly in Szczecin. Puszcza is an area of the Natura 2000 network. Within the borders of Szczecin Puszcza creates Forest Parks: Arkoński, Głębokie and Mścięcino and Park Kasprowicza. "

In spring, not only trees and shrubs bloom, but also lakes and ponds. Sometimes it seems that the surface of those water reservoirs, completely covered with duckweed, is the road on which you can ride a bicycle!

Rzęsa

"Duckweed (Lemna L.) - a type of small aquatic plants from the picture family, numbering 13 species occurring almost all over the world, of which 5 in Poland. Eyelashes are one of the smallest herbaceous plants. They have achieved remarkable efficiency of vegetative reproduction, under favourable conditions they can double their number even in 48 hours. Due to the high protein content, they are an important source of food for many species of animals. These plants have found many uses, primarily as fodder plants. Due to their phytoremediation capabilities, they are also used in the whole world, including Poland, for biological wastewater treatment.

duckweed - Lemna gibba L.

duckweed smaller - Lemna minor L.

triple duckweed - Lemna trisulca L.

duckweed purple - Lemna turionifera Landolt, first observed in 1987 near Krakow, now wider spread in north-eastern and eastern Poland (around Elbląg, Olsztyn, Suwałki, Łomża and Siedlce) and southern Poland (around the city of Przemyśl and Brzeska). There are also known single sites of this species on the Oder.

duckweed minute - (Lemna minuta Kunth), observed in 2007 at two sites: in the Łężczak nature reserve and in the Botanical Garden in Wroclaw. "

Rhododendrons and azaleas bloom in the gardens!

Azalie

Here's what I found in the Wiki when I wanted to read about the red maple:

Klon

„Velkolepá krása javoru kdykoli v roce.

Černý Maple patří k rodu Ogolater. Tvar a řez listů je tudíž stejný - široké talíře s 5 až 7 čepelemi. Kultura se používá výhradně pro krajinnou výzdobu.”

However, this Czech is not very similar to Polish, is it? Well, this is the translation:

The wonderful beauty of a maple at any time of the year. The black maple belongs to the genus Ogolater. The shape and shape of the leaves is therefore the same - a wide plate with 5 to 7 blades. The culture is used only to decorate the landscape.
