Again by the lake

Yesterday's May weather was not very nice, so we cycled to the forest, to the lake, to hide from the cold.

As you can see in the pictures - one of the ducks also thought it was cold - she hid her head under the wing and slept on the stone. Others preferred to rummage in the stones on the road, rather than to soak the rump in cold water!

Not everyone was so cold. Two guys decided to swim in the lake. In the conversation they confirmed that it was May, wasn't it?, so they had to take a swim. In the summer it could be colder!

Around the lake time for yellow flowers!

The season of roses (in the gardens) has  started. Today - beautiful yellow ones!

"Caltha marsh, kaczeniec,  - a species of herbaceous plant belonging to the family glaucoma. It is widely spread throughout the northern hemisphere: occurs throughout almost Europe, Asia and North America. In Poland is common in swampy meadows and in the lower parts of the mountains.

Kosaciec, iris - a genus of plants belonging to the family of flowers. Kosaćce occur in the wild state in the northern hemisphere and there are more than 200 species. The typical species is the beard iris."

And the branch of botany - rhodology - will tell us about roses.

"Rodology - one of the scientific disciplines within botany, the subject of which is the study of roses - a type of plants with exceptionally difficult and complex systematics. The difficulty in identifying species involves poor knowledge of ecology, distribution and biology of individual taxons. a separate scientific literature dedicated to this one group of plants. "

"Taxon - an entity defined in the systematics of organisms as a group of organisms (population or population group) usually considered to be phylogenetically related, distinguished by a specific feature that differentiates them from other taxonomic units."

PS

I apologize for this lecture from botany, but I was fascinated by the entries from Wikipedia, which taught me unknown terminology.
