It’s a pleasure to take a walk through the lit streets of the city at 18 C in the evening/at night.
Thanks to the restrictive system reducing car traffic in the capital, smog is hardly felt. The registration plate numbers indicate the day a car is not allowed to circulate in the city. And the older the car, the more days it is out of the streets. Sometimes up to three days a week!
We finished the evening listening to the mariachi* in our hotel.
This music and its performance has its charm, but also in restaurants can be tiring, because it is loud and the riddle above the ear reminds me of our gypsy bands making customers “ happy" customers in the premises.
*Mariachi - a type of orchestra popular in Mexico. Typical mariachi have a violin, various types of guitars, mandolins and trumpets. The orchestras have from 3 to 12 members, in their repertoire they have both contemporary compositions and Mexican folk music. The word mariachi also means a single performer of folk music.
