From ten in the morning till four in the afternoon we let our legs work hard, and despite using the metro we walked several thousand steps.

Currently, the Eiffel Tower is undergoing a major renovation in the French capital. Metal parts of the structure are being renewed. Additionally, in connection with the revitalization planned for the 2024 Summer Olympics, the biggest symbol of Paris will also change its color.

“Why did Eiffel choose yellow-brown? The tower is to resemble Paris, a city made of limestone, believes Pierre-Antoine Gatier, the main architect of monuments. The renovation of the most famous structure in Paris costs 50 million euros, and its completion is scheduled for November 2022."

The renovation of the tower does not deter tourists and they wait in lines for entry for about 30 euro.

Place Vendôme - a square located in the first district of Paris. It was laid out in 1702 as a monument to the glory of Louis XIV's army. It has a regular shape. In the middle of the square there is a Vendôme column with a statue of Napoleon, modeled on Trajan's column. On the house No. 12 there is a plaque commemorating the place of Fryderyk Chopin's death.

It's empty here on Sunday as the surrounding big-name shops are closed!

Place des Vosges, the oldest city square in Paris, located in the historic Le Marais district. Considered one of the most magnificent and most representative squares in the capital. From 26 October 1954 it was placed on the list of architectural and historical monuments of France.

A fair is organized here on the last Sunday of the month. You can buy and sell just anything here. Some articles looked somehow Chinese!

Hundreds of people resting on the lawn caught our eye.
